The management of Nigerian-British singer, Tems, has debunked an ongoing rumour online that the singer did not get royalties from her feature on Wizkid‘s “Essence“.

On the 22nd of May 2021, a twitter account by the handle @davidobrother shared what looked like a screenshot of Tems’ manager Muyiwa Awoniyi (@donawon on Instagram) claiming Tems did not get any royalties from “Essence“. The said manager, Muyiwa immediately shuts down the rumor being peddled by the twitter account, debunking the news and confirming the screenshot was indeed edited and a fake.
He responded to @davidobrother by tweeting;
This is photoshop. You are so weird.
We are yet to get any reaction from the social account of the ‘Damages’ singer about the rumour.
